Common questions

The app is not in my city, what do I do?

Slowly but surely, Relate Date is spreading in Sweden. By staying in the app, you'll notice when more people in your city find it! Open the app regularly, so you don't miss any new profiles that have found their way. Follow us on Instagram to stay updated on when we launch in your city!

In the meantime, you can prepare yourself for a relationship by taking advantage of the app's tools to get to know yourself better. You can also try the Relate Game to deepen your current relationships.

Why are today's profiles so far away from me?

The app is based on your current location and shows you the profiles nearby that match you on common values, preferences and filters.

You can filter at maximum distance, then the app searches mainly within the specified radius. If there are no profiles to match nearby, the app looks further away.

If "Dealbreaker" is selected, the app does not look for profiles outside the specified distance.

Why do I not get any daily profiles?

As the app is still growing, some days there may be fewer profiles in the app. This restriction can be linked to the place you live in, narrow filters, age group, etc. Also note that the number of profiles can vary as new users join daily throughout Sweden.

How do I change my city?

You can fill in your hometown in the editing view of your profile.

Your city is retrieved from the phone's location information. If you need to update your location information, you can do so by going to your phone's own settings. Locate the Relate Date app and adjust the location setting to "ask next time the app is used".

How do I end the trial period on premium?

If you do not end the current trial period, it will change to a rolling subscription for premium.

Go to the account in your app store and look at your subscriptions. End the current trial period on Relate Date and then keep the premium features until the last date for the period.

Remember to make decisions on your relates as they no longer will be visible when your account is transferred to free membership.

NOTE! Simply deleting your account/pausing your account/deleting the app does not end the current premium subscription! You need to do this separately on your app-store account to avoid paying for something you do not use.

How can I change the language?

You can choose between the languages Swedish and English in the app. To change the language in the app, click on the gear in the upper right corner and find the option "Language".

How do I change my age?

Have you accidentally entered the wrong age? Send us an email at hello@relate-app.com, attach a picture of your ID and enter the phone number you created your account with. We will fix the rest!

I lost the login to my account!

If you have created a new account because you lost the login to the old one, you can report this to us through the app's help center and "Report a problem". Explain your problem and enter the telephone number on which you registered your old account, and we will delete it for you!

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account in the app by clicking on the gear in the upper right corner and in the app's help center select "Delete account". Your feedback is very important to us, so please feel free to tell us why you choose to leave the app.

If you just want to pause your account for a while, you can make your account invisible to new profiles. You will still be able to chat with current matches, make changes to your profile and explore your values for personal development. Pause your account by clicking the gear in the upper right corner and clicking on "Show my profile".

The app is not working as it should, what should I do?

Checklist for actions to do yourself:

  • Check in your app-store that you have the latest version of the app
  • Restart the app
  • Delet the app and download it again
  • Check that your phone have the latest OS
  • Restart your phone

If the problem persists, go to the app's Help Center and select "Report a problem". There you explain your problem as detailed as you can, please also send a screenshot or screen recording, and we will help you :)

Premium

What is included in the premium version of the app?

Beyond all the things on the free version, on premium you could also:

  • See all profiles that relates to you
  • See all daily profiles before taking any decision on them
  • Get more suggested profiles per day
  • Set preference for minimum number of shared values you want your suggestions to have
  • See the whole values tree for your suggested profiles, for people that relates to you and for your matches
  • Filter on other preferences: height, smoking, drinking, occupation, education, children and family plans

How do I end my subscription?

Open your app-store and go to your account to see your subscriptions. End the current trial period on Relate Date and then keep the premium features until the last date for the period.

How do I apply for a refund?

You have the right of withdrawal and can receive a refund for a limited time after money has been deducted from your account. Since all transactions will go through your account in your app-store, this is where you need to turn to request a refund.

Refund Apple

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  2. Sign in with your Apple-ID and password.
  3. Tap or click "I'd like to."
  4. Choose "Request a refund."
  5. Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose "Next".
  6. Choose the item or items that you bought, then choose "Submit".

Refund Google

  1. Go to play.google.com/store/account.
  2. Click on "Order History".
  3. Search for the order you want to return.
  4. Select "Request a refund" or "Report a problem" and select the option that best describes your situation.
  5. Fill out the form and indicate that you want a refund.
